Crouching Spider Sculpure by Louise Bourgeois
I do hope no one has Arachnophobia!!
Just outside the Ferry Building a new sculpture has appeared. This is Louise Bourgeois’ “Crouching Spider” and it is on loan for 8 months and stands on the Embarcadero. This large metal sculpture of a spider does have a certain charm and it is well worth a visit.
Below are a few that I played with.....
I wonder which version you like best, if any, please let me know!
Have a good weekend......we have torrential rain so I don't think I will be going far!

Looks like you've been having fun.
I like the first, second and forth pictures.
It is one and five for me.
No rain here today. My Cotoneaster tree has no more berries left. My patio is covered in what the birds didn't eat plus what they did, so I am off to clean it up!
scary.
I like the second and last but one. Well, I use the term "like" loosely......great PS work but I hate spiders!!!
Whoa, that's an awesome sculpture! I liked them all!
I like the first one and the sixth one. That is an .... interesting sculpture.
I like the second to last one.
I hate spiders, but that's a fabulous sculpture.
My grandson and I liked the pencil sketch version the best. He thinks maybe he can do that! I'll let you know how it turns out.
I like the second to last one, too. You had fun!
Yikes! Do you really think anyone LIKES THESE???
Looks like you were having fun, but next time play with bunnies or kittens, okay?
Thank you :).
I like the 2nd altered one.. with the black background.. the best, but they are all pretty cook.
Cool pictures!
Have a nice weekend,Chris!
Oooh, first and sixth! They look like they're hand drawn. Very good work. Neat spider sculpture, too!
I like the first one...I need to get over there and check it out!!
I like the second, third, and the second to last. No rain here, The temperature is hovering at 0 degrees Fahrenheit, which is several degress below zero in Celsius.
another vote for the second before last from me too
EWWWWW i hate 8 legged things!
This one is a bit scary! Not a spider fan!!
But I should have told you that the photos you played with look very cool!!
you are getting good!
I'd rather see the spider entirely disappear -- but I think I like the last one best
Yikes, that would give a kid nightmares!
My favorite is the second to last.
Thank you everyone:
The second to last seems popular and I did have some fun, it's surprising how much time you can spend in photoshop. Particularly when you really don't know know what you're doing!! if I did I would probably get there much quicker!
eeewwwww thats giving me the shivers!!!!!!!!!!!!! eewwww
cool work on the pics yes indeed...forgot that as I was ewwwing!!
jettie normally I'm not too keen on spiders either!!
The first one you worked with reminds me of a comic book rendering, only there should be a super hero lurking in the background!
My favorite tweeked photos are the second one and the next to last one. It's a neat sculpture! I wonder how hard it is to move, you said it's on loan right? SO I assume they have to move it. I would fear killing the spider by moving it. :(
